Matisein, the visionary composer and producer born in Epsom, England, has woven an eclectic palette of influences thanks to his Chilean and British roots. From the iconic Beatles to the Latin American folklore of Quilapayún and Victor Jara, his music embraces electronica, hip hop, rock, and funk.
Europe also left its mark on him, fusing the electronic essence of Ministry of Sound with the authenticity of Garage, Drum n Bass, and House. The result of this fusion is his debut EP, «Vol1,» which combines Andean tapestries with a dystopian vision of electronica.
In addition to his solo work, Matisein’s experience in various bands and musical styles has led him to share stages with music industry legends such as Korn, Evanescence, and Bon Jovi.
A key point in his artistic evolution has been his multiple stays in Cusco, Peru, where he has immersed himself in the magical local sounds and ancestral rhythms, further enriching his creativity and unique combination of sounds.
He has performed on stages in South America, the United States, and Europe, with notable appearances at festivals such as Lollapalooza, Stamp! Hamburg, and Santiago Gets Louder.
As a producer, Matisein is preparing for the release of his second EP, «El Viaje,» inspired by the sounds of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, which he combines with Afro-Latin percussion, enhanced with synthesizers and drum machines. This exciting project is already taking shape in 2025, with upcoming performances in Argentina, Peru, Chile, and Europe. In parallel, he is preparing a compilation of remixes by artists such as DJ RAFF, Tunacola, and Sebuky.
Transcending geographical and sonic boundaries, his performances connect worlds and hearts, with live sets, DJ sets, and hybrid formats.
Matisein is an artist whose artistic journey promises to continue exploring and expanding the horizons of musical expression. With his distinctive approach, he continues to unite cultures and emotions with a unique palette in the contemporary music scene.
